Krasimir Balakov is one of Bulgaria’s most celebrated football legends, widely regarded as one of the greatest attacking midfielders of his generation. A key figure in Bulgaria’s golden squad of the 1990s, he played a decisive role in the national team’s historic fourth-place finish at the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States.
